While RAK Ceramics catapulted into the “Who is Who” of the Ceramic manufacturing world, the Company , as a Flag Ship organization of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, also led the spectacular transformation of Ras Al Khaimah into a thriving business and investment destination in the region.

Dr. Khater Massaad , who is also the CEO of the RAK Investment Authority ( RAKIA) was conferred with the fDi PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR Award in August 2007 in recognition of his efforts in attracting foreign investment to Ras Al Khaimah . In being named the 'fDi Personality of the Year', Dr. Massaad joined the ranks of such previous winners as, former Mexican President Vicente Fox (2003), Brazilian President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva (2004), former Mayor of Seoul Lee Myung-bak (2005) and Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty (2006). Dr. Massaad still nurtures his first love- RAK Ceramics despite his hectic schedule.

The awards and accolades continue to come in from different part of the world, but RAK Ceramics’ continues to work diligently on its ambition to retain the topmost position in the world of ceramics in terms of production volume, class & quality . Relevant manufacturing diversifications in the Tile Adhesives & Glues; Porcelain tableware and in the Faucets / bath fittings arena have all added value to the group .
