Ras Al Khaimah is the major cement production base in the country. Its fiive major cement factories produce over nine million tonnes per annum.

• Union Cement Company (UCC), UAE’s first cement manufacturer now has a capacity to produce 4.2 million tonnes per annum.

• Gulf Cement Company (GCC) added a second production line in 2007 to increase clinker production capacity to 3.8 million tonnes per annum

• Pioneer Cement established by India- based Penna Cement Industries Limited in JV with RAKIA has a capacity to produce one million ton per annum

• Ras Al Khaimah Cement Company and Ras Al Khaimah Co. for White Cement & Construction Materials are also based in RAK
